At Print Direction we have a strong commitment to environmental stewardship. Our entire team works hard to minimize our environmental impact and in doing so, we have achieved FSC® and Rainforest Alliance Certifications and implemented other programs such as:
FSC Chain-of-Custody Certification:
The FSC label provides a credible link between responsible production and consumption, enabling the consumer to make socially and environmentally responsible purchasing decisions.
Rainforest Alliance Certification:
The Rainforest Alliance Certification is a comprehensive process that promotes and guarantees improvements in agriculture and forestry and adheres to strict guidelines which protect the environment, wildlife, workers and local communities.
Green Power:
A portion of the power we use is generated via wind, solar and biomass sources.
Plant-wide Recycling Program:
At Print Direction each department participates.
- All waste paper is sorted and recycled from our printing processes and offices.
- Plastics and other substrates utilized in screen printing and digital printing are recycled.
- Waste water generated from the screen printing process is filtered to EPA standards prior to disposal.
- Unused and waste ink is collected and recycled.
- All printing plates are recycled.
- Corrugated cartons and packaging are bundled and recycled.
Lean Manufacturing:
Print Direction is a lean manufacturing operation. We maximize production efficiencies throughout our processes thereby limiting waste generation. In addition we have implemented multiple labor saving technologies and have realized substantial increases in workflow efficiency.
